2015 Sasseo

Bold, red and black fruit aromas. Ripe, verging on jammy, but delicious! There’s a rather exciting shot of ripe-apricot acidity that whizzes through all the ripe fruit, getting it up off rounded bottoms to dance. There are firm tannins, but they’re drowning in all this luscious fruit. A rather moreish note of leaf-mulch and fresh tobacco leaf on the end. Tiny bit of mint chocolate. Big, far from elegant, but very beguiling. (TC)
