NV Borgogno - Gran Dessert (1970-80's) (16.5%)

Borgogno is one of Barolo’s oldest producers, with a history stretching back to the 18th century. While Nebbiolo is what they are best known for, they have a long history of crafting the region’s aromatised fortified wines, such as this Gran Dessert Vino Aromatizzato. Today they still produce Barolo Chinato, using an infusion of 37 different roots, leaves, flowers, seeds and fruits. We estimate this bottle is from the late 1970s or early 1980s.
