Score 91+/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Nov 2013
(86% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc, 3% malbec and 1% petit verdot; 45% new French oak; 100 cases produced; a collaboration between Gramercy Cellars and Waters Winery): Good dark ruby-red. Redcurrant, cherry and raspberry aromas are complemented but not overwhelmed by cedary new oak. Broad, rich and sweet, with a slightly high-toned quality and a light touch to the complex, silky flavors of raspberry, flowers, coffee, mocha, lead pencil, fresh herbs and paprika. This wine underwent extended maceration but has the stuffing and sweetness to support its well-integrated, oak-driven tannins. Still, I'd forget about it in the cellar for four or five years. Very 2010 in style.
