In Mazoyères. 90% whole bunch, 40% new oak. Barrel sample. Deep cherry red. Blackcurrant berry and thyme. He suggests the blackcurrant note is a touch of reduction so he doesn’t like it. Cassis on the palate too. But it has time and, Duband suggests, grand cru fruit eats up things like that. Hard to judge this now but it has plenty of matière , very dry texture. Hard work at the moment. (JH)
