Tasting notes
Mid cherry red. Open, fragrant on the nose but a little bit lean/flat on the palate. Disappointing after the aroma promised more. (JH)

The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village has a finely tuned bouquet of red currant and raspberry preserve aromas, the 40–50% new oak nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with quite thick tannins that impart weight and density to this village cru. A little salinity toward the finish offers tension, but this is a Vosne that I would give three years in bottle.
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village wafts from the glass with an inviting bouquet of raspberries, spices, orange rind, rich soil tones and espresso roast. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and concentrated, with fine structuring tannins, succulent acids and a long, delicately perfumed finish.
Cask sample. Mid crimson. Lots of fruit and not too much oak. Easy and polished. But a little low key. (JR)
