Score 16.5/20 · Drink 2018-2020, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Aug 2018
From Alagni, central Crete. Dry farmed at 500 m, hand harvested. Fermented with selected yeasts at 24–27 ºC. pH 3.43, TA 5.85 g/l. Vegan wine. Light to mid, bright cherry red. Beautifully scented with red cherries and just a hint of pepper, almost a dusty/stony character to offset the perfume. A lovely sweet/sour cherry flavour on the palate, with good acidity and moderate alcohol for this variety. Pure fruited and vibrant. Juicy and long. (JH)
