Score 16/20 · Drink 2022-2027, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Jan 2019

60% whole bunch, 25% new oak. Barrel sample. Mid crimson. Some sweet oak spice on the nose and ripe, dark-red fruit. Firm, dry tannins, slightly thickened by the oak but with a good core of fruit. Chewy at the moment. Stems show more in freshness than in flavour. (JH)
