Score 16/20 · Drink 2010-2015, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2008

100% Pinot Noir. Vines are planted with a density of 10,000/ha and have an average age of more than 30 years. They are given a light green harvest in late July. Hand-harvested 21 Sep at 38hl/ha. Traditional methods of cap-punching and pumping over as the temperature rises to 32℃. Aged in mainly new French barriques for approx. 14 months. Unfined. Winemaker Laurence Jobard. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans. A bit angular with pretty chunky fruit. Pretty chewy finish. Clearly needs time. A bit severe with dry tannins. (JR)
