Tasting notes
Inky purple. The exotically perfumed bouquet evokes spicy redcurrant, cherry and blueberry, with smoke and vanilla nuances adding complexity. Sappy and precise on the palate, offering sweet dark fruit flavors that show liqueur-like depth and surprising vivacity. Closes on a gently tannic note, with excellent clarity, repeating spiciness and real cling.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Reserve Cabernet has a nose of creme de cassis, dark chocolate and crushed cloves with hints of cedar, black pepper and cumin. Very big, very full and very rich in the mouth to the point of being just a bit hot, it has a medium to firm level of chewy tannins and well-placed acidity. It finishes long and a touch bitter. Drink it now to 2022+. Importer: Ronnie Sanders, Vine Street Imports, Philadelphia, PA; www.vsimports.com
