Tasting notes
Absolutely strictly speaking this is not grown on Ch Clinet-owned land but is a blend created by the team there from wines bought in from various right-bank appellations. Named after Ronan Laborde, who not only runs Ch Clinet but is also current president of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. Rich and opulent on the nose though without the concentration of a classed growth. The wine already looks a little mature with its medium intensity ruby and pale rim. But it's sweet and round and has much more interest than most AOC Bordeaux. It's definitively right bank, too. With just a little leafy overlay. No point in ageing it further though as the fruit definitely won't get any fresher nor more vigorous. GV (JR)

About the producer

With Ronan Laborde at the helm, this property has become one of Pomerol’s most sought-after. He has increased the proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which historically represented half the vineyard area here.
