Tasting notes
Domaine wine. Smells a bit of charcoal. Not compelling but perfectly ok. Bit soft and definitely sweet. (JR)

Bright medium red. Aromas of cherry and raspberry complemented by torrefaction notes of chocolate and espresso. Intensely flavored and vibrant in the mouth, with cherry and spice flavors lifted by flowers and a hint of fresh herbs. This very juicy village wine finishes with brisk notes of flowers and spices.
The 2016 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from parcels in the lieux-dits of Aux Communes and Au Bas de Combe and matured in 30% new oak. It was showing a touch of reduction on the nose, but underneath resides attractive brambly black fruit laced with violet and iris. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresh opening, a Vosne that is nimble on its toes, not a deep and concentrated Vosne-Romanée but there is satisfying precision on the finish. Fine.
