2013 Preludio

Sei Solo is the personal project of  Javier Zacchagnini, who is also in  partnership with Mariano García in Aalto. The fruit comes from 8 plots of 60- to 90-year-old vines and the wines are fermented in 20-hl wooden vats. Dark crimson. Fresh, fragrant black cherry. Ripe but not overripe. Fine, savoury, dry in texture, with contained energy. Super-fine tannins, elegant and deliciously un-sweet. Almost a Douro quality here. Q GV  (JH)
