Tasting notes
Not significantly different in style to their post-phylloxera wines in flavour profile, frankly, with strong but fine tannins, vivid acidity and powerful sour cherry fruit. Plenty of concentration and chew here – lots to get your teeth into. (RH)

Light brick red. Beautifully scented and complex. It still has some red fruits as well as a sweet spice. Incredibly pretty. Dry and with the effortless concentration that only old vines can give, there’s red fruit, maybe just a touch of something more savoury/leafy but mostly it is mouth-watering sour cherry. The tannins are super-fine and it is endlessly long. It has such finesse that you could enjoy it now but it has the core to last many years. GV (JH)
