Near Brissac and quite a big producer. Owned by Pascal Biotteau. Deep gold. Honeyed and spicy with some orange/barley sugar. Has an unusual savoury quality that is hard to describe, like burnished gold. A little bit woody? Celery? Certainly complex with sweet/sour finish, not terribly long – classic Aubance. (JH)
