Tasting notes
Another big-time winner, but super-young, is the 2014 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch. Dense ruby purple, with black cherry, blueberry and black raspberry notes, this has a long, superbly concentrated, multi-dimensional mouthfeel and a terrific finish of close to 40+ seconds. This is a sensational Pinot Noir to drink over the next 12-15 years.

The 2014 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch is wonderfully delineated and nuanced throughout. Saline and energetic, the 2014 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch pulses with a sense of tension that perks up the flavors nicely. Sweet red cherry, mint, crushed rocks and pine form a super appealing fabric of aromas, flavors and textures.
About the producer

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
