2014 Costa del Vento Derthona

Deep yellow like a sweet wine, having spent 60 days on the skin. Sweet apricot and peach puree. Pure yet dense and perhaps a little botrytis? Honeyed note. Very intriguing and multi-layered. Viscous yet not rich, perhaps a little RS? And then you think ‘no its dry!’ Fascinating and long. Pan-fried duck liver would do the trick with this wine. (WS)
