Bright yellow. Very closed nose hints at minerals and white pepper. A pepper bomb in the mouth: broad, fine-grained and dry, with lovely intensity to the white peach, lemon and lime flavors. The long finish refreshes the palate with saline dusty minerality. A terrific vintage for this bottling--capable of extended aging but not austere today.

(at 40 hectoliters per hectare, this vineyard produced close to a normal crop in 2014): Pale yellow. Ripe peach and a touch of spicy oak on the nose and palate. Conveys an impression of sucrosité on entry, but this classically dry wine tightens up dramatically on the back half, finishing minerally, saline and brisk.
