Neal Martin
Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, the 2014 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru from Domaine du Clos Frantin has an earthy bouquet, quite animal with a touch of brettanomyces. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, dry fruit and a rather enervated finish that does not urge you back to the glass. This showed well out of barrel, but this sample was vexing. Tasted September 2017. Oct 2017, www.robertparker.com
