Tasting notes
Bright lemon-yellow color. Ripe yellow fruits and white flowers on the nose. In a fat, sweet style but with well-integrated acidity giving this concentrated wine a firm structural underpinning. Finishes a bit youthfully aggressive and in need of cellar time.

The 2014 Puligny Montrachet 1Er Cru les Combettes offers convincing mineral tension on the nose that is very well focused. The palate is crisp and taut, well defined with a palpable sense of energy -- the Puligny leaping about like a toddler. There is plenty of character about this Puligny Combettes with a seam of freshly shaved ginger furnishing the finish. This is excellent.
More intense than the Garenne. Creamy, oaky and cedary. Tastes almost off dry with the contrast between the high acidity and the riper citrus – but I am sure it is analytically bone dry. Intense and mouth-watering. (JH)
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
