2013 Chassagne Montrachet Blanchots-Dessous

Again that smoky reductive character of the Meursault Perrières but less pronounced here and with more herbs and green fruit, a bit like the aromas you get with Riesling fermented by ambient yeast. More reductive on the palate, stylised, but has plenty of fruit to support the style. Juicy, intense, almost but not tart. Good length and needs time. (JH)
