Ripe, apricotty and sophisticated on the nose. The palate is seductive, forward and juicy. Good approachable, unpretentious Bourgogne Blanc. (AH)

The 2013 Bourgogne Rouge (fruit sourced from Fixin) has a pleasant redcurrant and red cherry-scented bouquet. The palate is medium-bodied with tart cherry fruit and a light piquant finish. Not bad for a generic red Burgundy.

His first wine from this appellation. Fixin grapes. Bright, quite dark crimson. Quite firm and good attack. Lots of dense cassis fruit with a dry finish. (JR)
