Mid cherry. Very ripe on the nose, lifted – slightly volatile? May be the sample, the acidity is very high, so there's a bit of a mismatch between that ripe aroma and the almost tart palate. But given the style and character of the other Jouan wines, I think a fresher sample would be attractively fresh and lively, hence my benefit-of-the-doubt score. (JH)
