Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2012-2020, Jancis Robinson MW, Sep 2010

Very sweet and concentrated even if not especially subtle. Still a little bit of tannin – not quite at its apogee but very satisfying and well balanced.  Ripe cherry fruit and very perky.  Nothing wrong with this that a few more years in bottle won't solve.  Silly me for opening it too early.  Although the grouse served with it softened it somewhat.  Impressively persistent.
