Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2012-2018, Jancis Robinson MW, Jun 2013
48-year-old vines planted in 1975 by Kevin Hayes that were originally bushvines but were subsequently trellised. Biodynamic viticulture. Light ruby. Broad, sweet, lightly spicy and lifted. Very juicy and easy to appreciate. Beautifully transparent. Dynamic and fun. Much more appetising than most Châteauneufs! Much subtler than most Garnachas. Light and bright and artisan. Beginning, middle and end to this wine. Long. Tannins almost imperceptible. GV (JR)
