Tasting notes
The 2007 Veneroso, Sangiovese with a dollop of Cabernet Sauvignon, shows quite a bit more freshness than the Nambrot in this vintage. Varietal red fruit is given a touch more volume and richness by both the Cabernet and the warm vintage. Soft and plush through to the core, the Veneroso reveals great length and a polished, utterly irresistible finish. This is the finest wine I have ever tasted from Ghizzano.

Anticipated maturity: 2010-2022. These are two beautiful wines from Tenuta di Ghizzano. The oak seems better integrated than in the past, which is allowing the fruit to shine through with remarkable brilliance. A natural approach to farming and vinification are the centerpiece to the approach at this small, artisan estate. Importer: Henriot Inc, New York, NY; tel. (212) 605 6706
