One of 56 Pessac-Léognan reds that were tasted blind in London for Decanter magazine in July 2008. Ripe meaty fruit, a little smoky. Thick smooth tannins but a bit dull overall even though it has enough freshness to balance the ripe fruit flavours. (JH)

Dark crimson. Sweet oak. Quite light-bodied. Very fresh and a little bit simple though a pleasant lunchtime claret/essence of springtime style. (JR)
