61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Aged 14 months in barrel (45% new oak). Brick hue. Soft, round and supple but with little energy or charm. Some sweetness but little fruit and marked acidity on the palate. Hard and short on the finish. Dull and uneven. Probably suffered from the heat and drought. Beaten before it started? (JL)

Dark ruby with an evolved rim. Very sweet nose. Light and a little green and attenuated. This is red wine rather than Margaux. (Average group score: 14.7) (JR)
Interesting, classic, well integrated nose and fruit that is extremely undeveloped with marked acidity and dry tannins. Not bad but a bit awkward. (JR)
Mid crimson. Fragrant with no sign of burnt aromas. The tannins here seem to have been managed well, or airbrushed out. At least they are there but not in excess. But this is a light wine – pretty, like Pichon Lalande, but not for the long term. (JR)
