Still deep crimson in colour. Cool and almost a little minty. Dry, smooth and dark on the palate. Smooth, dry in texture and just perfect for drinking now. Restrained but not austere, dry but not drying. Harmonious and elegant. Understated. (JH)

Dark crimson. Dense and dry. A bit chunky, dusty and ungracious. (JR)

Rather lovely development – aristocratic and cedary. Proper, solid Pauillac and at a pretty attractive stage of development – digestible but firm tannins, plenty of fruit, very enjoyable indeed. (RH)

Gentle, easy, but not thrilling. Well mannered and very dry. (JR)
