Tasting notes
Deep ruby-red. Musky, expressive aromas of black fruits, flowers and coffee. Suave, silky and sweet, with lovely volume leavened by the wine's juiciness and floral lift. Finishes with sweet, smooth tannins and excellent length. This may be the best vintage to date for this bottling.

Medium to dark ruby-colored and sporting a nose of lively black fruits intermingled with spices, the 2002 Vosne-Romanee Les Hautes Maizieres is a concentrated, medium-bodied wine. Loads of black cherries and blackberries are found in its spicy, expressive core. Projected maturity: 2006-2012. Bright red-ruby. Raspberry and chocolate aromas. Round and pliant, with a ripe chocolatey flavor. A solid, full wine with lovely mouthfeel. Finishes with rich, fine tannins. Whereas the village Vosne should be accessible early, this really should be held for three or four years.
