2010 Achkarrer Schlossberg Spatburgunder

Unusual note of graphite seems to put an ashy spin on the toasted contribution, and although a fair flavour substance of berry fruit and spicy plums cannot be denied, the oak is just a little too overbearing to let the wine demonstrate its potential of seduction. There is enough power and backbone to shake off the grip of wood, but for the time being you have to be a believer. (MS)
