[50% CS, 50% M, not just young vines because some Merlots weren’t good enough for the grand vin.] Dark crimson. Actually pretty luscious – black cherry and, as Bruno Borie pointed out, rather right-bank luscious on the palate. Certainly those who like this opulent style should seek this out. Quite a hot finish. Very unlike the Ducru Beaucaillou archetype! Very dry, exaggerated style on the finish. (JR)
