Sweet and silky and smooth. Not obvious Grand Cru quality. Halfway house – but halfway price too. Dense and yet smooth. Very long. (JR)

As it almost always is, this is more elegant than the straight Corton with an airy, pure and relatively high-toned nose of essence of red pinot fruit nuanced by bass notes of earth and minerality that continues onto the textured and very stylish flavors, all wrapped in a detailed, dusty and penetrating finish that displays perfect balance. This is really quite ripe and while it is by no means surmature, note that this does not have the coolness and reserve of a classic Bressandes.
