Mid ruby. Smoky, toasty red fruit. Really quite toasty. Sweet and soft and rich and perfumed on the palate – the oak felt more on the nose than on the palate, though it is there too. Finely structured, framework barely visible under the softness of fruit. Cool and juicy on the finish. (JH)
