Cool, minerally, just a little flat on the palate but very serviceable. Not delicate. Racy – gossamer. (JR)

The German market may demand trocken, but this is what the Karthäuserhof is good at. A delicate fragrance of ripe apples and pears on the nose manifests itself in a juicy sweet expression of fruit on the palate. There may be a searing acidity of 9.9 g/l, but in this case it is perfectly balanced by the residual sugar and the customary flinty contribution of minerality. Racy, fresh and light with 10% of alcohol this is Mosel (Ruwer) Kabinett at its best. (MS)
