Deep crimson. Quite thick and heavy on the nose. I could do with more lift and acidity. No refreshment value. (JR)

Deep crimson with paler rim. Low-key smudgy nose. Some mashed mulberries but no great definition. Curious blend of ripe flavours with some underripe greenness too – far from homogenous. Considerable grainy tannins and real pinch to the palate on the finish. Not bad but definitely not one of the best Margaux. (JR)
