2001 Dow's Quinta do Bomfim

Bright crimson. Rather low key, occluded nose but lovely rose petal development on the palate with just the right amount of sweetness but quite a charge of fine tannin underneath. These are wines of infinite subtlety and finesse.  Liquorice and some tension, but I think for the money I'd go for the blatant appeal to wine lovers of the Warre Late Bottled Vintage 2002. (JR)
