Mid to deep maturing ruby. Soft, dried cherry with hints of appassito /raisining, but not crude. A touch candied and showing some oxidative notes that increase as the wine sits in the glass. Hint of mint. Some development on the palate with the beginning of tar. Still quite intense and with full spread on the finish that is a tiny bit sharp. At its peak now. (WS)

Dal Forno Romano
Along with Giuseppe Quintarelli, Dal Forno Romano makes the best wines in the Veneto. The history of Dal Forno Romano, however, is much shorter, and its rise to fame much faster.
