Much richer than the others on the nose – this one straight from cask and with a little bit of oak at first (an aroma completely missing from the rest of the range). Aromatic herbs and lemon on the nose. Definite weight. Very firm and with electric tension – still masses of youthful acidity. Really vibrates on the palate – almost painful! As youthful as the Chevalier but more substantial. Massive! (JR)
Discreet aromas of apple, pear, peach and iodine, along with some spicy oak. Hugely rich and ripe; as chewy as a solid, showing compelling sweetness and outstanding depth of fruit. The unflagging finish saturates the mouth with ripe fruits and minerals. This baby should age for a long time.
