Blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca foot-trodden in concrete lagares. Aged for two to three years in cask before bottling without filtration. Winemaker David Guimaraens. RS 89.1 g/l. Heady and luscious and firm on the end. A rather salon-type wine with a dry end. A bit tight but not expensive. Herbal notes. GV (JR)

The nose shows plenty of red fruits, mulberry and raspberry pip with toffeed raisins. Ripe and rich mouthfeel that is beginning to integrate and develop. Has a slight caramel chewy note and almost mocha/chocolate edge. The alcohol is pretty prominent on the warming finish. (AC)
