Peach, mango and brown spice aromas are more vintage- than vineyard-representative. Spiced peach preserves, nut paste and bittersweet vanilla flavors, yet for all of its ripeness it preserves an appropriately wet stone slatiness in the finish. 1 star.

Really racy, exciting, dense stuff. Some green notes. A mouthful of very pure white peach juice. Real lift and race. Quite open and easy and yet elegant. Lacy. Second (blind) tasting note: Very ripe, tropical fruit-redolent nose. Even a hint of coconut – could this be Germany's answer to Hawaiian Tropic? Not much tension and still a bit of sulfur on the finish. Leafy note. Extremely open and just very, very slightly slack. (JR)
