Matured for nine months in 72% new French oak. Relatively compressed following the extravagant 2009, but still has reverberant sulphidic character. Banana cream flavour too. Fragrant, generous, perfumed. (RH)

Reductive, flinty, stylish – so classily done! Doffs a hat to Puligny, but is determinedly Australian. Fabulous, long, fashionable. Shows just how current and creative big companies can be. (RH)

Quite rich, leesy nose. Richer than the Oz Chardonnay norm. Orange peel with a hint of blossom. All potential rather than actuality. (JR)
