Tasting notes
Deep, bright ruby. Mineral-driven aromas of blackberry, cherry, Indian spices and smoky minerals. Leading with fruit right now, offering sweet dark berry flavors and bright, juicy acidity. The finish repeats the smoke and mineral notes and leaves a sweet blackberry note behind. While this is fresh and expressive enough to drink now, I'd wait another couple years for more complexity to arrive.

Ruby-red. Rich and ripe on the nose, with powerful scents of dark berry preserves, kirsch, roasted coffee and smoked meat. Finely etched blackberry and cherry flavors are underscored by tangy minerals, which add good back-end lift and cut. Gains sweetness with air and finishes with excellent clarity and juicy persistence. This will be very seductive young.
Sleek and slightly leathery. Pretty austere at the moment with masses of acidity. For those who like their Côte Rôties on the lean side? (JR)
