Score 89-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2005
(at the end of its malolactic fermentation) Nut oil and minerals on the nose. Fat, rich and spicy, but a tad rustic. Finishes long and powerful. From a 350-liter barrel: pure on the nose, then quite penetrating in the mouth, with soft citrus flavors. A distinctly firm style.
