The Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes lives up to its name, offering an attractive perfume that is just beginning to reveal itself, rich, medium-bodied, concentrated fruit, fresh, vibrant acidity, medium body, and very good to excellent concentration. Although closed, it is well-made and vibrant. The 1993s from Ghislaine Barthod are successful wines, with enough ripe fruit extraction to balance out the vintage's tannic structure. They require 5-6 years of cellaring and should last for 12-15. Importer: Neal Rosenthal, Select Vineyards, Shekomeko, NY; tel. (800) 910-1990
