(special cuvee; there will also be a Clos de la Roche cuvee normale Deep red. Musky, expressive aromas of wild red berries and mocha. Sweet and lush but with impressive underlying stony minerality. Very subtle, refined, stony wine that will require eight to ten years of bottle aging. Perhaps a bit less concentrated than the Clos Vougeot, but the tannins are also quite fine.
