The wines of Pomerol’s Château Belle Brise come from two hectares of 70 year old vines. Produced in tiny quantities (around 8,000 bottles a year) it arguably rarer than its neighbour and Pétrus, but remains a far better kept secret. Almost reminiscent of Grand Cru Burgundy, it is perhaps the last great undiscovered Pomerol and certainly the ultimate insider tip.
The main reason for that is that the majority never leaves France, and what remains heads straight to Michelin starred restaurants and the private jets of European princes. As Jancis Robinson puts it: “it is basically unknown to the general public. Within the upper echelons of the world’s greatest restaurants though, the wines have an intense, nearly obsessive following.” Back-vintages are almost unheard of, but we have a thrillingly rare collection case to offer, direct from the château…
Belle Brise Collection Case (6 bottles): containing one bottle from each of the following vintages: 2003, 2008, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The 2010s are so rare they represent almost all that is left in the owner’s personal cellar.
These exclusive collection cases are sure to sell out, so if you want to secure one, please do not hesitate…
