"Extremely long and layered"
98 POINTS – JAMES SUCKLING
Owner and president of Viña Errázuriz, and half of the team behind Seña, Eduardo Chadwick is also the man behind Viñedo Chadwick – a wine made in tribute to his polo-playing and wine-loving father. This ultra-premium Cabernet Sauvignon is made with fruit from vines planted on a site in the Alto Maipo Valley that was once his father's polo field.
The 2014 vintage was the first Chilean wine to be awarded 100 points, and today sees the release of the 2018 – a vintage that is one of the best in recent memory.
Classically Cabernet in style, Luis Gutiérrez describes the 2018 as “vibrant, balanced and intense”, while James Suckling finds it “extremely long and layered” and Tim Atkin believes it's "the best release yet... that could easily be slipped incognito into a tasting of top Bordeaux".
