The 2006 Barolo Via Nuova opens with notable energy and drive in its dark red fruit, spices, menthol and sweet licorice. This long, pure Barolo reveals gorgeous length, beautifully balanced oak and superb overall balance. A mineral-laced finish rounds out the Via Nuova in grand style. For her 2006 Via Nuova Boschis used 70% new oak barrels with lower toast than in prior vintages and it shows in the wine’s class. This is a fabulous effort from Chiara Boschis. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2028. Feb 2010, www.robertparker.com
Score: 95-/100 Antonio Galloni

Just over 90 wines from Barolo's finest: from the established names to the young blood, all from what is a clearly excellent 2010 vintage. The growers included F+R favourites Brezza, Ceretto, Cogno, Grimaldi and Oberto; the established stars of ...
2011 Barolo: "Intrigante"
Barolo Vineyard Following a vintage like 2010 is not easy. 2010 Barolos are not only of great quality, they were released to a market primed to buy something new, a market disillusioned with Bordeaux, a market looking for quality, value and character. What the wines of Piedmont offered, and continue to offer is simple: the opportunity to buy, own ...
