On Wednesday 16th October we are hosting a special dinner with Cristiana Tiberio at The Connaught. Alongside a six course meal prepared by three-Michelin-star Chef Hélène Darroze to match the wines, we will taste 26 vintages and 5 different wines from the first vintage 2012 until today, exploring the evolution of the estate since its inception.
Nearly 70 years ago, Riccardo Tiberio, founder of the winery that bears his name, started cultivating his first vineyard on the Abruzzese slopes. Over time it reached 31 hectares and an annual production of c. 80,000 bottles. Home is Abruzzo, Cugnoli to be precise. This medieval village, nestled between the mountains of Maiella and Gran Sasso, 25 miles from Pescara, is where it all began.
Today, Agricola Tiberio is managed by his children – Antonio and Cristiana – who both work tirelessly to carry on the mission of producing the finest wines in the region from immaculately kept old vines.
This evening is an adventure we embark on together with Cristiana; an insight into the winery’s history and tasting how it has evolved through the last two decades. We’ll taste five different cuvées from an array of vintages alongside a six-course meal prepared by three-Michelin-star Chef Hélène Darroze. From the family’s flagship wine, Fonte Canale, to their Archivio, a thoroughbred expression of Montepulciano, and even the rosato, their Cerasuolo, (a true rarity!) this evening will showcase the class of the estate. This is the first Tiberio tasting in London ever – the first of many.

You'll explore 10 vintages of their flagship wine Fonte Canale during the masterclass. We then move on to taste 5 vintages of their Pecorino, 3 vintages of the very rare Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo and 4 vintages each of the Archivio and Colle Vota, over a six-course seasonal menu prepared by the Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze.
