The stunning Château Haut-Bailly 2015 has now sold out. But 2015 is a vintage in which the critics have heaped praise on the second wines. We are therefore delighted to offer La Parde de Haut-Bailly 2015 at £195 per 12 bottles in bond.
Decanter called the first wine "The Graves wine of the vintage", but roughly a third of that harvest went into this wine. La Parde de Haut-Bailly has been commended for its seriousness and density by Antonio Galloni, who calls it "a voluptuous, dark wine..." that "...offers notable depth." Jancis Robinson compared it to the grand vin saying that it is "...very Haut-Bailly on the mid palate."
"Excellent second wine.", 92-93 points, James Suckling
"Although this is a second wine, it does have the structure of a wine more senior than that.", 92-94 points, Wine Enthusiast
"In 2015, La Parde is especially dense and inviting, which makes it a very serious second wine.", 89-92 points, Antonio Galloni
"Beautiful taut tannins.", 91 points, Decanter
"This is a very serious bottling, showing lots of smoky oak, firmish tannins and plenty of concentration.", 91 points, Tim Atkin
"This comes recommended.", 88-90 points, Neal Martin
For those who missed out on Haut-Bailly, this release offers an opportunity to try the château's 2015 out-turn.
